Even woody Harrelson couldn’t save this film. It’s not great overall but fuck that writing was dogshit. If the writing wasn’t so cringeworthy and Venom wouldn’t interject so much, it would’ve been halfway decent. It really falls apart when they tried to mash serial killer, action and comedy into one hour and a half movie, it’s just all over the place and it’s just bleh. It still is a fun watch though, it’s entertaining and does have some funny bits but it’s ruined when they go from super whimsical and unserious to heavy and serious, it’s like watch a movie made by someone who’s bi-polar. Sony with their unapologetic product placement was also dogshit, like literally one of the characters says nice TV to a Sony TV with the box in the background while there’s a PlayStation 5 right there, unapologetic. Carnage and woody Harrelson were solid characters, I liked what the were doing with him. They just needed to dial back a lot on the comedy. The action scenes were still good as well. I’d rewatch just to turn my brain off and watch some needless action.
