I've never been flashbanged by a film so much, wtf is that constant glare bruh. I think the lighting is really creative for how it differentiates the Down Below & Up Top society but it starts to feel weird when there would be landscape shots showing both worlds. I can definitely see the vision but it just looks off. The whole film feels quite trippy with the upside down shots, It's understandable but I don't want to be crossed eyed watching this. I thought the concept was interesting and unique, it's just that the story didn't complement well with it. I wish there was costume design or a drastic change in setting between both worlds so it's easier to determine both with their unique styles. The resolution didn't feel like it fixed entirely the problem of both worlds so it didn't make sense how it all came together in the end. The cgi was fucking shit, makes it even more trippy. There was some shots that were so incredibly beautiful, like the scene where Adam takes off his inverse matter gear in the ocean and he just levitates to the other side, that scene was really pretty. I didn't like how there was barely any challenges on the love story other than the amnesia, it just seemed like a win-win for the main character. I certainly want a remake for the film, I think it's appropriate to re-write the story to make the concept towards its full potential. It could also just be better off as a series or something. Upside Down is a innovative, simple, woozy film that'll stop people from going into business
