i havent read Jeanette's memoir though i've been dying to, but i know enough about her to know that this was a direct reflection of her experience. and it did hurt thinking about how this is so real and prevalent everywhere. PLUS THAT ENDING? i am so in awe of Jeanette and her mind, i look up to her and i always have, so in awe of her works and how she's been surviving.
