HOLY SHIT, I LITERALLY SAW THE PLOT OF THIS MOVIE IN A MRBEAST VIDEO
This fucking film is funny as fucking fuck!
I'd never seen it before, and what a loss! It starts with a bang, which I'm incredibly grateful for, but I'm even more grateful that from the very beginning it never stops being a damn entertaining film. The plot is simple, but it's squeezed to the max so that something is always happening.
The atmosphere is fantastic, and something I loved is how this film truly conveys the danger and hysteria the characters feel. I found the film very funny overall, but it also manages to feel tense at several points, moments where I covered my mouth to avoid making a sound. There are also other more chaotic moments that aren't as tense but are just as great.
I loved the roaster of characters; they're very diverse, and even though there are so many that they can't develop them all, they manage to feel like real people, and they work wonderfully together. Great cast.
And well, a good dose of body horror, great gore, and some pretty cool creature designs, although the CGI sometimes looks a bit dated.
And don't even get me started on that ending; I love that The Mist also manages to be so emotional at key moments.
