i thought the film moved a bit slow at times in the first half, but it definitely picks up afterwards. i’ve seen three alain delon films now, and he is fantastic in every one. the tension throughout the film, the proverbial walls closing in on our mr. klein. and all the while this is happening, while his life is becoming threatened more and more with each passing day, his “friends” couldn’t seem to care less for him nor his predicament. watching them attempt to feign even the slightest bit of concern accentuates this feeling of tension and hopelessness throughout the film. an incredible performance from alain delon, as well as a very strong supporting cast. incredible picture.
