this is third-time i watch Swann Arlaud’s movie (thanks to Celyn for it) and i choose this movie special for Fathin’s birthday 🎂⭐️🫶🏻
i can say this is the type of slow-burn romance i honestly wanted (especially the enemies to lovers trope). the plot is light and easy to follow, and the movie’s also in French but it’s available with English subtitle. this movie keeps a soft, never forcing big drama, and instead letting the characters’ everyday struggles carry the story and the situations can be awkward and even absurd at times, but they never feel mean-spirited
also, i really love Swann Arlaud as Pierre Perdrix brings an authentic and charming character, and it’s sooo fit with Maud Wyler’s character as Juliette Webb. both they look adorable and sweet 🌸🤍
