a quiet, powerful film anchored by solid performances from jennifer lawrence and brian tyree henry. two broken people form an unlikely friendship, trying to heal, move beyond their traumas, and find a sense of normalcy again. and despite the quiet melancholy that underscores every scene, you can't help but feel hopeful. the scene with her brother is so great too.
it is so nice to see jlaw in smaller films again. also, she's in a baggy shirt and ball shorts for like 30% of this film which... hell yea
