I spent more time than I'd like to admit finding a way to watch this movie. Something that would seemingly not be "worth my time" ended up being absolutely incredible. Having seen Swing Girls pretty recently, color me surprised when I found out Shinobu Yaguchi had another feel-good story about a girl who couldn't stop breaking out into song. It felt like a match made in heaven. There's something about the simplicity of it: it doesn't try to hard to do anything, just relying on Ayaka Miyoshi's charm and well choreographed numbers. I absolutely adored this film and never really wanted it to end.

Don’t hide yourself. Don’t be too hard on yourself.
I am so full of joy this was such a great movie! I’ve never really watched a musical before but this made me feel so happy i was smiling uncontrollably for most of its runtime! I loveeee feel good movies!!
From the director of Swing Girls, Shinobu Yaguchi, i already knew i was in for a good time, he really does specialise in making you feel unmatched happiness! Also Ayaka Miyoshi is so pretty. The cinematography & colour grading of this movie really helped the cheerful atmosphere of the movie come to life! The bright blues & reds the colourful clothings all add to why i think this was so good!

A weird diegetic musical, which part way through swiftly becomes a buddy comedy. Some of the musical segments are played as if everybody's in on it, whether to imply that's how she's perceiving it in the moment, or just because it's dramatic, and some of them are played totally straight, responded to with confusion.
I liked it a lot, although it's not on the same level as this director's Swing Girls--of course, most directors never produce a single film as good as Swing Girls.
"Clothing rental!"

Film keempat karya Shinobu Yaguchi yg kutonton.
