Man, this movie is so hard to watch. Anthony Hopkins was absolutely brilliant in this film, it was an absolute masterpiece that I really wasn’t expecting. The cinematography was phenomenal, the subtle details really made the moments that much more impactful. The ending is incredibly sad, it’s one of those movies that make you sit there and watch the credits roll while you ponder what you just watched. It does get a bit confusing for the watcher as well which is definitely done on purpose but for me it did draw away from the story just a little bit. I didn’t think a movie about the life of someone with dementia would be so incredible but it hit on all fronts with phenomenal acting, I great score, emotion, and heart. I highly recommend, I’ll watch it again for sure.
