Slow burn. Genuinely can’t decide if this is a good movie or not. It’s definitely not an entertaining western but a realistic drama. They fumbled the bag with having both Jesse Plemons and Kirsten Dunst who are married in real life but completely underused Jesse’s character. I did think it was a very satisfying and poetic ending tho.

I think this was done super well. The music and “slow burn” set up the eerie western feeling really well. I also really enjoyed how Peter was portrayed as very quiet and incapable of his final action. I’ll be honest I didn’t see it coming and almost didn’t realize he had calculated that move the entire time rather than killed him by mistake. Really good all around.
