SEQUIN IN A BLUE ROOM is heavily Troye Sivan coded but is ultimately flat in depecting the fluidity of modern hookup culture. At times, its reminscint of an Araki film with the added editing sensibilities of a jumpscare-ridden horror film.
But then again, I don’t think an Araki film would ever end with a Netflix and Chill to TWILIGHT.
