no mamen, casi chillo. pinche vieja chismosa envidiosa 🖕🖕🖕.ay no, de verdad creo que la historia tan buena le ganó a lo controversial que puede ser la representación de la cultura indígena en esta película, como en todas las películas de emilio fernández y su idealización de esta, pero la verdad no tengo ganas de hablar de eso, ya que lo hablamos un día en clase, y no será para esta ocasión. 

que hermosa actuación de pedro armendrariz y dolores del río. que trágica historia, pero que manera tan pura de contarla, y más a través de los ojos de gabriel figueroa.

Ok this one actually did piss me off a bit. I was really into the story and characters but the whole climax felt rushed and undeserved- even if it was something that was teased at the beginning, and the fact that we don’t get an emotional conclusion with the painter (who’s a jerk) at the end just makes it worse (I know that we kind of got it at the opening, but there’s no closure to it whatsoever)

Me encantó un chingo pero se me pasó muy rápido.

Ahora, personalmente me cautivó demasiado el artista. Tiene mucha profundidad; la actuación y el guión solo hizo que fuera un resultado excelente y logré sentir conexión.Me recuerda mucho a el retrato de Dorian Gray, cuando Basil dice que puso tanto de el mismo en ese cuadro, que no quiere que nadie lo vea. Lit el pintor con María.

Sin duda la fotografía de Gabriel Figueroa, es preciosa. Retrató de manera muy bonita los lagos y los árboles. Igual, los movimientos de cámaras o tomas, ya se veían mucho más avanzados para su tiempo.

En escenas para mí simbólicas, sería la escena donde María agarra tierra y le dice “esta es nuestra tierra, tan negra. Como quieres que nos vayamos” se me hizo muy significativo, más por ese apego de que ellos eran de ahí y precisamente por eso, resignarse a que nadie los quiera, son escenas que de verdad te mueven, aunque sea poquillo. Otra tmb cuando María le dice a Lorenzo lo bonito que sería tener amigas, que sonrían y saluden cuando la vean. That shi broke my heart. En parte porque un momento de mi primaria , llegué a fantasear con eso hasta que afortunadamente me pasó, entonces esa escena fue significativa.El guión fue una de las cosas que más me movió y uno muy bonito.

Ya finalmente pq se está alargando, algo que me encanta es que muestra la doble cara de las personas ante la religión, porque si bien se les regañó por sus conductas, aún así no les importó, seguían igual. Esto termina obviamente fatal, es terrible que solo por ser la hija de la prostituta, la tratan de manera deshumanizada sin justificación,e igual tmb a la madre, namas porque se les hinchaban los huevos. Claro que lloré , siempre chillona.

ummm it was really beautiful ig 🤨🤨 like especially the water <3 but primarily it’s like the way she’s literally directly descended from spanish co1onizers and is playing the only indigenous woman considered beautiful innocent etc …. likeeee probably a lot to be said here about bodies re: the literal white washing of a indigenous woman / her naked body as subject in the painting / the woman who volunteers her body as replacement / the white man painting them / that we never actually see the painting blah blah blah . just seeming a bit ermm inherently racist . i did watch this on like 3x speed and 240p so 😘😘
