Fish has spent six years in jail. Six years alone. Six years keeping his mouth shut about the robbery, about the other men involved. The night he is released, the four men he protected with silence celebrate his freedom with a congratulatory dinner. The meal is a lavish array of sushi, served off the naked body of a beautiful young woman. The sushi girl seems catatonic, trained to ignore everything in the room, even if things become dangerous. Sure enough, the four unwieldy thieves can't help but open old wounds in an attempt to find their missing loot.

i won’t lie, i’m scared of mark hamill in this film.
so it has a pretty popular cast, not bad of a plot, and some similarities to reservoir dogs, but not a lot. nothing to complain about.

A brilliant hidden gem with a ton of style, sure it's quite derivative of Tarantino's film style (especially Reservoir Dogs) with it's expletive language, violence, and use of soundtrack, but it's executed so damn well. It's definitely not for everyone, especially if you're not a fan of excessive torture scenes in films, but if you're a fan of Tarantino-esque films, you'll enjoy this one.
Stellar performances by Tony Todd (RIP), and Mark Hamill which absolutely elevate this film, the fact this film has so many big names in it is insane considering it's relatively small budget (~$750,000).
Admittedly it's kind of predictable, but I was satisfied by how the film concludes either way.

I was expecting something completely different so I just could not care about this at all

I do love the gore and violence when there is some but it’s not a lot

Just watch reservoir dogs instead of this

Some okay Reservoir Dogs-lite sleaze, this exploitation post-heist crime thriller seems to eke by, most likely due to actors like Todd and Hammill hamming it up, which balances out the fact most of the other performers seem lost and having nowhere near as much fun.
