Ace cast. Westerns are one of the genres I think I’d prefer a hokey LUT and some cornball fake film grain to muss up the digital video. At least there’s some verve to the titles and they go for it with the soundtrack.Fucking up some pinkertons, spurting gunshot wounds, wienie pilgrims, halloweenie witches, and the occasional fun moment don’t make up for how bony, charmless, and un-spooky this goofy little try-hard ends up being. Fuck off with your clumsy attempts at emotional resonance and characterization. Spend more time trying to be as wild as you can. There’s hints of good shit but this grinds to a halt way too often. Plus, a lot of the action is bad. I mean a lot of it is bad, but I like weird bad more than boring bad. This is so close to being fun.
