While Rocky VI focuses more on comedy and montage, Tavern Man is more personal and profound. It’s slower and therefore more contemplative. I love how it portrays the everyday in such an excellent way, 14 minutes that feel like an entire day. It doesn’t feel like anything is missing. That said, the comedy is still there, just not as present.
76/100
