❝You know what that is? That's my son, right? Son of an alien.❞

Not the best film I've ever seen, but not the worst either. Cillian Murphy and Barry Ward dominate the screen and do give good performances, but the plot itself is pretty bland and uninteresting once everyone gets accustomed to life in Montauk. Also, maybe I'm stupid, but I was so confused about how Davin actually made it from Ireland to America since it didn't seem like he got a passport or visa before travelling. On the whole, it's an alright coming-of-age film, and it's worth watching just to see brown-haired, pale-as-a-ghost, deadbeat dad Cillian.
