I mainly watched this because Quinton Reviews referenced it in one of his videos about the Nostalgia Critic. I think one of the reviews said it best that “this should’ve been weirder”.
I think there was a good idea with the premise and style, but I think what takes me out the most is that David Harbour I is played by David Harbour. If they went with the mockumentary tone from American Vandal, and blur the lines between reality and fiction then I would be hooked.
I genuinely became invested into the film when I was 20mins in, and that’s when one of the actors had an on-stage shoot at David Harbour I (and as a wrestling fan, sometimes that’s more interesting than what creatives wants to tell you).
