It's South Africa 1990. Two major events are about to happen: The release of Nelson Mandela and, more importantly, it's Spud Milton's first year at an elite boys only private boarding school. Spud is a boy from an ordinary background who wins a scholarship to a private school in Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. Surrounded by boys with nicknames like Gecko, Rambo, Rain Man and Mad Dog, Spud has his hands full trying to adapt to his new home.

Whenever i watch this movie ik alot of western audience will be disgusted and not really like the movie but if ur from SA this is so hilarious and I’ll always come back to watch it

A South African classic indeed. I must say when it comes to movies that make tons of sexual jokes, I usually don't like them that much. Its just a moral thing, I never found sex funny, find it quite childish. But love this film for authenticity, it's something special for real. South Africa doesn't produce this much great coming age films that are also different from most that come from this country but they did this one write and it was popular as well. Now do I found Spud that funny? Not really but does it have hella great acting and writing? Hell yes!!!
