I usually really like courtroom dramas, so while Fracture had some great moments it didn't particularly grip me any way. The plot is alright, but the film is mostly propped up by the stellar performances of its cast. Anthony Hopkins' cold and psychotic portrayal of Crawford contrasted well with the initally arrogant character of Willy (a stupid name I spent almost the entire film laughing at), played by Ryan Gosling. The pacing was a little odd, and around halfway through it felt like the story was really dragging, and consequently the ending was rushed to me. Overall, though, it's a decent film, and while I don't think I'd watch it again it was nice to see once.
