A really fun time. This film really does not try to be anything it’s not and that’s probably because the characters have been around since the 70s. It just doubles down on what it does well and for that reason it’s super entertaining. The characters are pretty funny and combined with the animation it makes for some great slapstick comedy. 

It does not get super deep with its characters or story but it doesn’t need to. Also it’s always incredible to make Nazis look like the absolute idiots and buffoons they are. 

Overall, I had a great time watching this and probably will delve deeper into some more Lupin the Third.

The gorgeous animation is somehow able to perfectly balance between uncanny and cartoony, it’s rather impressive.

Also I watched this when it first came out and I completely forgot about the Hitler plot line so that’s fun
