I can forgive the awful dialogue and shit jokes because I imagine there's alot lost in translation but the disjointed scenes are off-putting. Most of the praise I've seen from this comes from the "stunning" animation which is really hit or miss throughout the movie. Crazy to think this was the first Chinese movie to make it to imax. On a positive the fight scenes were great with really good choreography making the second half considerably better than the first and I would've given this a 3/10 if not for the final fight which was well done. Ultimately I don't understand how this launched the most successful animated film of all time and hopefully that sequel makes this worth the watch - I'm expecting much greater things to come.
