Undine is a historian and tour guide at the Berlin City Museum specializing in urban development, while Christoph is an industrial diver. Linked by a love of the water, the two form an intense bond, which can only do so much to help Undine overcome the considerable baggage of her former affair.

Unfortunately, this was a bit of a disappointment. I loved all the other Petzold films I had seen before and I liked the trailers for this a whole lot. I actually vividly remember seeing them in theaters in 2020.
And while the performances are great and definitely liked parts of this a whole lot, most of this didn’t really get to me. It’s well made and thematically there is a lot on there, but it didn’t fully click.
