Casablanca, the year of the baccalaureate. The carefree life of Morocco's golden youth and all its excesses: car races, friendships, music, alcohol, but also first loves and the anxiety of transitioning to adulthood... Marock presents a side of Morocco that is often unknown, seen through the eyes of Rita, 17, who is determined to live life on her own terms.

"Jeunesse dorée de Casa" mais ils ont jamais mis les pieds au Cabestan, ach had tkherbi9 🤨🤨

I always found this movie wayy too stereotypical and caricatural for my taste, et c'est toujours le cas. Mais maintenant, je reconnais quand même que certains aspects et thèmes sont plutôt réalistes, comme l'hypocrisie qui existe au sein des familles pendant ramadan (entre croyants et/ou mécréants peu importe), ORRR the drunk driving accident in ain diab right after le bac (sérieux why is it an actual thing?? on dirait une malédiction lay3fou)

Bonus point for the soundtrack though, which is, im guessing, why they named the movie like that.

Sah vraiment pas mal, c’était un délire pour avoir le filme en ligne mais c’était worth the wait. Bon, un peut raciste comme même mais c’était le bled à Casa circa 2005-2007 wesh.

PS: Wllh bring me back to 2007 the age I’m now and I’ll be the illest mf on Skyrock and MySpace, don’t mess with me.

The movie was goodish for me
I liked the aesthetic, the soundtrack, the cast, the clothing, the 00s vibes….
I liked the story it was like any normal American-teen-rom movie, the same storyline and scenes, it’s seems for me that they made it more french than Moroccan

It showed another side of Morocco:
lbourjoizia, the “mission students”, the rich kids, alcohol, clubs, parties, drunk teens harassing maids(disgusted me), the shocking sex, rita not caring bt her religion as mocking it and eating in Ramadan instead of fasting, etc…
