Dear America: Letters Home from Vietnam was an insightful war about the experiences in Vietnam. This film was effective at making you understand what the soldiers had witnessed in Vietnam. Although the voiceovers were voiced by a plethora of famous actors, including Robert de Niro, Michael J. Fox, Martin Sheen, Robin Williams, and Robert Downey Jr., all of the footage and letters were authentic. This commitment to showcasing reality gave a rich perspective on what it meant to be an American soldier in the Vietnam War. On a side note, considering the entire film was composed of archival footage, it's impressive just how phenomenal the cinematography was. Furthermore, with a fantastic soundtrack, Dear America: Letters Home from Vietnam is a great hour-long documentary that I would recommend to anybody looking for a little insight about the American experience.
Also, Happy Star Wars Day. It's kind of fitting to publish this review today, considering Star Wars was an allegory for the Vietnam War.
