Really love the structure of this film. Introduced to the antagonist first (before he even is a devilish creature and has absolutely nothing to do with the main characters yet), then the hero. Rarely do films do this and I really appreciated where it goes as it went along. It's a very amusing watch because you really don't know where anything is going to go. It's shocking and a lot of twists and turns keeps the pacing going at a reasonable speed. Wyman and the rest of the cast are all superb and bring a lot of weight to the story. It's not an easy topic to pull off but it manages to succeed. The cinematography didn't have a whole lot of flare to it, and some scenes to get a bit flimsy in terms of realism, but for the most part, "Johnny Belinda" had me hooked from start to finish.
