MOVIE! MOVIE! MOVIE! MOVIE!
Wakaliwood is all about having fun and making da best of da best movies and Crazy World is just that. You can see such a clear example of everyone working at Wakaliwood, getting better with each movie and giving their absolute best and then some on each new project. From video game styled combo meters during a shoot-out, to outrageous cut-aways to previous and upcoming movies to remind us what other movies we’ve seen an actor in; Crazy World is everything that makes a Wakaliwood film special and more. Budget cannot put a limit on what passion and skill can create and that is one of the main things I love about Wakaliwood films.
At a screening of Bad Black in Philadelphia, Alan Hofmanis showed the audience a teaser trailer for Crazy World. He told us about the actual rampant kidnappings that happen in Uganda almost every day and how Issac (IGG) wanted to use movies to help protect and prevent these kidnappings from happening. Issac told us that many of the people who kidnap kids are stupid and that if they see a movie about children beating up kidnappers with Kung-fu, then they’ll think kids in real life can do Kung-fu and will be more likely to leave them alone. Not only that, but the kids in this movie are actually taught Kung-fu for the film so there are actually Kung-fu fighting children out there in Uganda.
All in all, an incredibly fun movie that takes everything great about Wakaliwood films and improves upon them immensely. Myself, along with many other Supa Fans appear in this movie as well so that’s always a plus. I would like to add that during the typing of this review, I just purchased the hand painted poster for Crazy World so I’m very excited for that to arrive. I hope the money helps them make many more of da best of da best action movies! Long live Wakaliwood!
