I would've left immediately when the dead man's hand twitched, but that's just me

The Vigil
Well paced, well shot, creepy, effective. The first half is better than the second half, but the ending brought it home. Very nice story of shared guilt and self forgiveness. Lead actor Dave Davis was exceptional, he carrying most of the movie on his own, tasked with displaying a wide range of emotion from mania to terror to overwhelming grief, all to great effect. I was also very impressed by the use of a limited location. Solid flick.

Not bad. The idea works and suits the film's scale. The folklore adds some meaning, though it mostly stays in the background.
