The different tribes were deadass noob vs hacker vs pro

Ron Perlman was the perfect type cast for this, he has that Neanderthal bone structure
So much was said without a single bit of comprehensible language

It was interesting how they portrayed sex in such an ancient age
Amazing to see all the 2001 space odyssey monkeys can still find work.

That one scene when the ash girl was making the fire in front of our main guy HAD to be the inspiration for the SpongeBob caveman scene where they switching the camera between him and like a stick with opera/singing in the back

man a lot of this movie was cavemen fucking but there was really something beautiful about it, not in a weird way, but in a dawn of humanity and complex relationships way that his original tribe seemed to not share at all at the start of the movie.

The Quest for Fire is really unique in terms of storytelling, since there’s no legible language in the film. The story is carried entirely by the acting and practical effects. The latter aren’t perfect, but nowadays they would probably be replaced with dull CGI. My favorite? The lions standing in for sabertooth tigers.

The film follows the story of our first technology during a time when multiple human species still inhabited the planet. It’s engaging despite numerous anthropological inaccuracies - though I don’t think it was ever meant to be a documentary. I was glued to the screen, not gonna lie; it has adventure, thriller, horror - everything. In terms of character arcs, our protagonists quite literally come back forever changed.

A worthy and wildly creative piece of cinema.

Please get as fucked up as you can and watch this immediately. If pondering the evolution of man wont win you over, the many people straight faced yelling OOOOOOOO just might! The opening confrontation between 2 tribes was so fun and exciting, i knew i was about to witness greatness. Quest for Fire follows a tribe of Cro Magnin and their quest for fire, simple as. Wonderful adventure film that is dedicated to authenticity, I think, I’m no expert but it certainly felt authentic. I need to talk about the quality though. On Prime, it’s borderline unwatchable. Free on YouTube, but that’s not great. So if you want to watch a high quality version you need to rent it somewhere or pirate it!
