I can see why that one guy literally went into cardiac arrest while watching this because he was laughing so hard. This is legitimately one of the funniest movies I've seen in a while. This is a case of the right actors, the right script, the right director, and the right crew coming together to make lightning strike.
This feels like a fun mixture of the schenanigans of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and a heist movie; oh, do they come together so wonderfully. The four leads do a killer job at bringing these eccentric characters to life, making even the smallest, most insignificant line deliveries hysterical.
This is a career highlight for all of them. John Cleese is so dry and witty, and his reactions are priceless. JamieLee Curtis is an underrated comedic talent with movies like this and Trading Places. She's so seductive, yet hilarious. Michael Palin plays his character with so much sympathy that it's easy to get drawn into it, but Kevin Kline delivers one of my favorite comedic performances...ever; it's so cool he won an Oscar for this movie.
The setups, while there are some you can see coming, still manage to hit with how much they commit to the bit. There are some genuine stakes here that make the movie feel beyond the typical comedy, and the writing makes this movie fly by so fast.
WATCH IT!
