The Burning Sea (Original title: Nordsjøen) - A very, very fitting name
The Burning Sea is a rather emotional, bittersweet symphony. As the name of the movie suggests in English, "The Burning Sea" matches the last 30 minutes well when the Norwegian people burned the oil that leaked in the sea.
This is the worst out of the Norwegian «disaster trilogy», plainly because it doesn’t match the casting, nor the acting, nor the disaster as the previous Bølgen and Skjelvet (The Wave and The Quake), plus it has thinner writing.
But I am a huge fan of the use of the CGI, the setting, I really like the unique oil ridge setting. The costume design is authentic, as well as the set design is authentic, as well as the whole movie is pretty authentic.
The «worst» part of this movie, is objectively all the unnecessary swearing, and the colors, which redeemed itself in the end, but for the most part, the color looks very RAW (even if it was shot with film.)
Although this movie was very thrilling, and rather exciting & enjoyable, it is a decent 7/10, not heavily recommended. (Although I do recommend for the use of CGI.)
