i love city life. i love peeling off the layers of complexities of a city, the good and bad-the opportunities and risks, exploring another of myself in a place i'm yet to call home. sure, i love the thrill of it—getting lost, forgetting i'm in another city seizing it but i know i would just get stimulated—worse? sensory overloaded... of the intrapersonal dilemma i'm battling with whilst fending into the unknown without anyone, really. this short film hits home. witnessing different kinds of individuals who also are facing an amalgamation of responsibilities, doing their jobs, eating, standing, and here i am—doing people watching. with that, i will never be alone in this latter city because i'm surrounded by these people—but the perturbation exists so much from the terrors of sensory overload eventually translating into wearing off my fondness of this city. it's comforting but also not. yk?
