It definitely has a Hobo with a Shotgun vibe, the grindhouse aesthetic, lots of neon, and plenty of bloodshed. Hobo is just a bit more extreme, while VFW takes itself a little more seriously. It's definitely very entertaining, as long as you’re into the visuals and don’t expect too much depth in the story.
