Still a better use of Imagine than that Gal Gadot video. The performances are really good and definitely is longer than it needs to be, but still worth a watch. Really surprised this won Best Film Editing.

This film was harrowing to watch. I watched this as part of my university degree for a paper I wrote on the original book.

Much like the book I struggled to watch this, emotionally painful and deliberately created to make you feel shocked this film manages to hit every single mark it was aiming for.

My main criticism is pacing felt off, it was slow almost painfully slow and in some parts I thought I was falling asleep.

Overall, despite pacing issues this was a solid film and truly shows the horrors of Cambodia as well as it could possibly portray them.

Stands out from other war films by not exaggerating heroism or over the top graphic violence but quite a few production choices (especially with the music) hold it back

I decided to watch this film after visiting Cambodia and seeing the real killing fields and Khmer Rouge prisons in Phnom Phen. I really like this film and think it does a really great job at depicting the genocide and war. Although I did find parts of the film quite confusing (I would have found it even more confusing had I not visited Cambodia) I still really enjoyed it and think everyone should watch it
