The story behind this movie was one of the most interesting parts about this film. Live action filmed in 1990 and animation done by David Allen until his death in 1999; goes on to be completed by friends for this release.

With this, the acting, plot and dialogue are noticeably “old” but not in a bad way whatsoever. In fact, I really loved it, no matter how silly it was. The effects, however, are stellar and outshine almost every other aspect of the film.

Although silly, I really enjoyed this film. I loved the animation and the campy acting, plot, etc. present throughout the film. Overall, this is a good film and is a fun watch if you love semi-cheesy, live action/stop motion, older films.

The best looking syfy original ever made. I truly cannot believe how good the stop motion is effects are in this. It genuinely overshadows how wafer thin the plot and acting abilities of the cast are. I’ve read like twenty 1960s-1970s Marvel comics with this exact plot and this doesn’t elevate the story telling one iota. What a masterpiece of craftsmanship though.
