There’s a lot that doesn’t work and things that do. I liked where its heart is and it had some genuinely lovey moments.

It works as the end of the trilogy and gives both Randall & Dante the character development they needed and ultimately a satisfying ending to their story.

The commentary by Smith over the credits was a very nice addition, enjoyed that a fair bit.

Wow wow wow, I actually enjoyed this one even more than the previous entry. Clerks II had that endless summer-day atmosphere — midlife, nostalgia, a kind of melancholy for childhood. This one feels like a more contemporary summer day, and honestly that hits closer to home for me. Tons of fun cameos — Sarah Michelle Gellar, Impractical Jokers, Ben Affleck, and that guy from Wednesday. Soundtrack is great, humor too, though the second film had a slight edge there. I hope Kevin Smith is done with Clerks now — these three films are perfect as they are, and the ending is beautiful.
