literally just the most insane movie ever, i always forget just how crazy it is each rewatch! so very funny, insane and has some really impressive practical effects! always really funny to show at my film club, a very interesting film that I will be writing extensively about in my Uni Dissertation. recommended! a great satire on incel/Otaku culture with some cool Shintaro Kago artwork & Tomomatsu’s directing style!

Shintaro Kago artwork, insane storyline, amazing editing, fucked up death scenes and an awesome soundtrack! genuinely can’t critique this movie, it’s everything I love in cinema and more! Tomomatsu is so damn cool, even wrote an essay about his films for my Uni course! (Including this one). 

Also, the main character looks like the Prince of Japan which is very funny. Overall, an absolutely masterful satire and one I’d highly recommend! A great way to get into Tomomatsu’s filmography!

the most insane, over the top and bizarre film ive ever seen?? just a complete overdose of constant rapid editing, insane dialog and a complete mockery of otaku culture. some of the funniest characters ever too with some of the funniest moments ive ever seen!

if you like weird japanese movies, definitely check this out but it for sure is not for everyone. not a film to be taken seriously obviously and creates a world a bit similar to Pink Flamingos in its absurdity and even borderlines on surrealism. the gore effects were also really great! the blu-ray is worth getting too!
