Ron Howard's bleak western fits the vibe of a "dad movie on cable". The main downside, (and most impresive feature), is the stretch they did to make to hit the 2 hours. Cate Blanchett and TLJ give great performances, as usual. It is always nice to see Val Kilmer.

the level of suspense created throughout is incredible
beautifully shot with stark light and shadow along with broad landscapes
i struggled to watch this bc i was scared of what was going to happen
everyone does a brilliant job, cate blanchett is so strong and beautiful.
was quite a slow burn but i didn’t mind
seems to have mixed reviews

Watched about four minutes of this while scrolling through cable, looks awful. To its credit, Tommy Lee Jones speaks Navajo in this movie and that just tickles me. Could you imagine being the guy who has to subtitle that
