what a fucking heartbreaking masterpiece, holy shit man. i love hong kong second wave cinema so much and this is up there for me. its such a beautiful and tragic story, the filmmaking was outstanding, considering Sam Lee was a complete amateur actor is crazy (his character is beyond outstanding as well), and then that ending feels like you have 1000lbs weighing down on your chest as tears build in your eyes, its just such a fantastic movie. where has this been all my life.
