This was my first Lav Diaz film and I'm absolutely stunned. This left me feeling harrowed to be honest. As someone whose own family in the Philippines has been affected by the corrupt police system, this is a very very important film and really highlights the injustices within our justice system.
Also the cinematography in this is gorgeous- the shots of the beach in San Isidro were wonderful. Really made me want to go back to the Philippines with my film camera 🥲
