❝It was a name that sounded so sweet, so seductive. Synonymous with wealth... style... power. You passed one of their windows and peeked inside, hoping you'd earn enough money someday to afford the second-cheapest item. Surprise! You won't.❞

I have some mixed feelings about House of Gucci; on one hand, the performances from Lady Gaga and Adam Driver are excellent, and I love the outfits and makeup, and on the other hand, it has Jared Leto. While the plot is pretty interesting, it has severe pacing issues that make the second half in particular feel way longer than the two and a half hour run-time. I also think that some of the cast is wildly underutilised, like Jeremy Irons and Salma Hayek, and their respective characters aren't fleshed out enough to warrant better acting, while the tone of the whole film is very inconsistent. It's not a bad film overall, but with that being said it's not the kind of quality I'd expect from Ridley Scott.
