A terrific political thriller about blowing up fascist dictators. Gillo Pontecorvo is an obviously established political director because of his 1966 film The Battle of Algiers but to be honest I’ve never really seen much buzz around his other films, especially when they’re so fantastic. This political thriller is very nicely structured almost like a heist film, it’s got the procedural elements and high tension but also has a brilliant political narrative that really shines a light on the sheer scale needed to overthrow the evil in power. I will admit the only reason I found and ultimately watched this film was because of Gian Maria Volonté, he’s definitely my favourite actor at the moment and he did not disappoint with his performance in this film, he was slightly more toned down than his usual satirical style but was still wonderfully powerful in his acting. Overall this is a great film, very tight and well executed.

Que maravilla de documental sobre el primer astronauta español.
No, pero ahora en serio, esta película es interesante por como trata todo lo posterior, la disolución de ETA en dos vertientes, la violenta y la política. La conversación que tienen al principio me parece lo más interesante de todo, como en un momento toda la violencia se vio como necesaria, pero en democracia una parte decidió abandonarla. Muy interesante
