What a brilliant ending to such a brilliant series of films. Writing this literally a day after watching this and I already miss these films and want to watch them again. All the characters were so well written and all unique and interesting, even with so many different people introduced and reintroduced and killed off and switching sides almost constantly. Kinji Fukasaku’s direction of this series was fantastic, the soundtracks to all of films were just gorgeous, the acting was great, the action was all done so well, the cinematography was really nice, especially during the sequences at night and in the rain, mostly towards the end of each film. I could go on about this series for hours it’s just so damn good. Can’t wait to check out the sequel trilogy.
