Holy fucking shit. Very confrontational, hard hitting, and horrifying documentary about the anti-gay purge in Chechnya. There are moments where they show raw photos of injuries from tortures and even soldiers raping them. I didn’t even know they had celebrities (who are disappearing btw) aside from UFC/MMA fighters — don’t even get me started with the Akhmat Special Forces. Ramzan Kadyrov is one scary mf

A heartwrenching, disturbing, thrilling, and saddening documentary about the anti-gay purge in the Russian state of Chechnya. It's absolutely sickening to know that the sort of things that happened in Europe during the Holocaust are happening as we speak in Russia and the areas of Europe around it. The fact that people have to hide out and escape their homes due to their country’s state of government is something that I don't think I'll ever be able to grasp. This film really exemplifies the humanity and inhumanity in each of us, similar to how Night and Fog did so. Certain moments from this doc will probably stick with me for a while, but nevertheless, I'm glad I watched it.
