As someone that is nearing 38 years in fast food myself, this one really hit home.

The Last Shift
I'm definitely not surprised Alexander Payne was involved in this. Doesn't communicate much at all. I'm on board with films about working class characters but the decision to go all Gran Torino w Jenkins halfway through and reveal that he was passive witness to a racial murder was... really weird. Jenkins one of my favourite actors and really not being challenged at all here, I found nothing interesting in any other character. Works best at the start when it's basic Spongebob fast food comedy and then when the racial/class stuff is introduced it lost me completely. Ed O'Neill working for scale after his Modern Family money must be a sight to behold for his agent. Did not live up to my expectations.
