Man all these 1950s murder mystery mobster movies kind of blend and feel the same. Maybe I’ve just watched too many in a row but they are definitely getting a little bit stale for me. In all honesty, they are t the type of movie I lean into very often but still I’m always a tad bored during them. This one was better than others though but one watch is good enough for me.

i can definitely see why every young actor is obsessed with this movie and aspires to be even 1/10th of what marlon brando is here. he's transcendent. gorgeous film about doing the right thing and our responsibility to other people. i love edie. what a character. terry standing up after being beaten and limping his way to work is one of the greatest images in all of cinema. one of those movies you watch and you know immediately why it's so famous.
