Fun (throat) gore, a good soundtrack, but ultimately a film that really doesn't live up to its opening scene.
I appreciate some of the technicalities used and special effects, but the plot is so confusing I didn't have a clue what was going on most of the time.

I’ve been looking forward to this film for quite some time and I don’t even know why.

“Uccelli assassini” aka “Killing Birds: Raptors” aka “Zombie 5: Killing Birds” aka 50 other titles with some combination of zombie, raptors, killing and birds doesn’t deserve any of its titles. That the film has nothing to do with the “Zombi” series isn’t a surprise cause most of the so called sequels have nothing to do with the series. And there aren’t even birds that kill someone. They peck out one guys eyes and it may be implied that they kill someone at the end but that’s offscreen and makes no sense. And while there are zombies, are they really zombies? I don’t know and I don’t care.

The film is a real snoozefest and just plain boring. Nothing interesting happens and the characters that are completely uninteresting just aimlessly wander around. The score is kinda over the top and the pacing is terrible and the film is way too long.

“Uccelli assassini” is one of the worst italian horror films I’ve seen so far. There is next to nothing positive to say. Maybe some if the effects were alright, but that’s it.
