“come inside for a drink” scene and speech goes unbelievably hard, and there are some banger shots in this one
but man was this felt a little sloppy — too many elements, some pretty half assed. lots of unnecessary scenes, which i will definitely call out in a movie as slow and long as this one starting slow and overstaying your welcome is a tough combination. really made me wish i’d read the book — it HAS to be better than this, for how popular it is
you can think of this as some kind of blend of knives out and zodiac, but it’s a much less engaging watch than both of those imo — i really like david fincher’s filmmaking but besides the social network i never really like his plots
