I have a little story about this film. I first saw it in this gorgeous cinema in Tasmania that was super old and had couches instead of chairs. And I swear to god man these couches were the most comfortable couches I have ever been on. I very rarely will fall asleep to a film especially in the cinema. Anyway my mum had to keep waking me up since I was the one who wanted to see this film. But she eventually gave up on trying to wake me up! 😭

Farming is a lifelong commitment that offers little rewards in the short term. So, it’s only fitting that a film about ram raising would be such a slog to sit through. If it weren’t for Sam Neill's rough and ready charm, I would’ve bolted long before the tender ending.

apparently this is a remake of a 5 year old icelandic film (might have to watch that too), but this one stars sam neill as a farmer so 4 stars

'Rams' will be remembered for being released in the 2020 climate, originally due out at the end of August before being pushed back to mid-September, then after literally being moved to every Thursday in October, winding up at the end of the month.
