Part of this feels like a poorly though out true-crime tv movie while the other part tries to trick you into thinking this is a good movie through the camerawork and editing (which are genuinely interesting). This is also one of those times that it being based on a real case makes me feel weird considering it plays as a sympathetic dark psychological drama from the perpetrator’s perspective, which feels like an insensitive decision. It’s not the worst I’ve seen in this genre but I just don’t like the genre of dramatized reenactments of real violence
