Devilishly entertaining when it's focusing on its ridiculously great HK-branded action spectacle. Flawless capturing of the momentum of two bodies violently trying to eviscerate the other through any means. Paired with a strange sense of humor like a serial roofier or its endlessly campy villain found in the stellar Yukari Ôshima (who downright steals the show), the film carves out a distinctive identity beyond this “girls with guns” subgenre. That said, much like most other B-action movies, the film gets so confused by its own story at every turn that it feels more like a series of maddening attempts to create order out of chaos just long enough to the next action beat. It's sometimes impressively underdeveloped plot didn't really kill the vibe for me though, because there was always an undoubtedly great flying drop kick the the head just beyond the scene.
